Bluffton Golf with Hank Haney IJGA
In August of 2006, a relationship was forged with the International Junior Golf Academy. As a new South Carolina club, Pinecrest was looking for new members, and this has been a great fit for both entities. In the spring of 2008, the IJGA renamed the academy to reflect Hank Haney's growing involvement. Each of the students is considered a Full Bluffton Golf member and is entitled to all member benefits. Students attend the Academy from 22 states across the U. S. and 23 countries from around the world. Students truly broaden their horizons here. They learn about many different cultures first-hand while they improve their games. "Member Mixer" golf tournaments are scheduled throughout the year involving the student members and all of The Pinecrest Club members. These are very fun events to play in and are usually a scramble format. The Academy, in conjunction with its affiliates - Heritage Academy and the International Junior Golf Tour (IJGT) - is the only organization in the world that combines training, competition and academics for serious junior golfers. When the students are in the golf portion of their academic day, they are spread out at The Pinecrest Club facility with usually one-third playing, one-third practicing on the IJGA practice tee, and one-third working on short game. Their tee times are blocked out in advance and are listed below for your convenience. |
